Ramzan is the month of fasting and prayers for Muslim community, this season is a feast for everyone to enjoy the delicacies and relish the desserts.
There is everything from Samosa to Desserts being sold during the month of Ramadan at few places of the city.
We have covered some of the must try food at the Iftar Market this year. We started with the famous Mandi Mohalla Iftar Market.
SF Samosa Centre
To start with, we tried Brain Samosa ( Bheja Samosa ) and Chicken Samosa ,do try these specials.
They have varieties of Samosas which includes Mutton Kheema Samosa, Brain Samosa, Chicken Samosa, Fish Samosa at Rs.20 each,Egg Samosa at Rs.12 and Veg Samosa at Rs.10.

Bismillah Fish Centre
We tried the Tawa Fry with dosa, that’s a good combo to go with.
They have a variety of fishes including Pomfret, Katla, Kamancarp & Talepia.

You can choose for Tawa Fry (Green Masala) or Deep fry ( Red Masala) available at Rs.30


You can also accompany these fried fish with Dosa which goes well together.
Then we thought of trying out some grills and tandoors, which wasn’t available around Mandi Mohalla, so we tried the Khan’s Restaurant at Bamboo Bazaar where they have the special Iftar items and combos added to their Menu.

We tried Al-faham chicken and also recommend it to you .
They have many varieties of grills and tandoors.
Under grills they have Grilled Chicken, Al-faham , Chicken Sheek and Mutton Sheek.
Tandoors include Tandoori Chicken,Chicken Tikka, Malai Tikka, Kalmi Kabab and Tandoori Platters.
They have introduced Iftar Kit at Rs.149 , Ramzan Special Combos at at Rs.499 , Iftar Kit Big Family Pack at Rs.999 and few Ramzan Special Items.

They also have Chicken and Mutton Biryani for Online Orders which are priced at Rs.200 and Rs.240 respectively.

They also have Bucket biryani available at Rs.1499 which includes Mutton 4kgs (8 piece ), Chicken Kabab ( 10 piece ), Dal ,Raitha and Sweet which is a family serving size.
You can also place your orders for a free home delivery.
Then we thought of ending the main course with Drivers Hotel,Mandi Mohalla.

Here we tried their signature Mutton Biryani and Chicken Biryani.
The biryani is accompanied with Curry.
You can also demand for something known as Phaal, which is basically mutton cooked over hours together which gives paste kind of texture.
We also tried their Boneless chicken Kabab which was good too.
Then we thought of trying out some desserts after a heavy Iftar meal.
Kashmiri Falooda

Kashmiri Falooda was served at Rs.20 and Normal Falooda was served at Rs.10.These little falooda cups were yum.

They are featured previously in media as well.

Then we tried Badam Falooda Opp. to drivers hotel which was priced at Rs.10. You can choose for plastic cups or the glass one.
Khava Sharbath
To end the meal with legacy dessert of Mandi Mohalla, we went to Ali Sharbath Centre.
So this was our amazing Iftar meal at Mandi Mohalla and around.
